The higher profit figures in Q3 as compared to the corresponding period a year ago are mainly due to productivity improvements and an increase in London Metal Exchange aluminum prices as compared to a year ago. The company's quarterly revenues stood at $6.2 billion, which represents a 7% sequential rise and an 8% year-over-year rise. All of the company's business segments reported higher revenues on a year-over-year basis.
